Gayle Brown - Fabricator


Born 1957 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin

Decided to become an artist after a first attempt at tempera painting in kindergarten

Received Kiwanis' "Artist of the Year" in 1975 and went on to
complete a fine arts degree of University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1979

Moved to New york in 1981

Started sewing stock items and fabricating custom orders at The Futon Shop

Married in 1985 and created two children

Went freelance. Through word of mouth, the work of assisting clients on unique projects steadily increased

Over the years the collaboration with artists and designers to help them realize their objectives became the primary work
with occasional showings and commissions of personal work along the way.
